On May 1st, Business North Carolina announced their 2022 Power List of the States’ most influential leaders. The Power List, edited by David Mildenbery, highlights the state’s most influential leaders in their respective fields. As a company, we see the positive influence that Michael Overton has on our day-to-day, and in Eastern North Carolina. Michael’s involvement with organizations like Each Carolina University, Pitt Community College, Greenville ENC Alliance, and many more organizations are a testament of God’s desire for him to live out his purpose.
Michael has undertaken an initiative to increase The Overton Group’s social impact by creating the TOG Ministry Fund. The TOG Ministry Fund provides hand-up organizations funds to actively strengthen their communities through ministry, evangelism, mentorship, and the development of personal growth and wellbeing.
In addition, Michael started an internal Helping Hands fund. TOG Helping Hands Funds are for employees suffering from severe financial hardship resulting from a sudden, overwhelming, unexpected event beyond their control.
As a leader, Michael instills a passion in his employees to do the RIGHT thing and live out the company’s core values of Respect-Integrity-Godliness-Honesty-Teamwork.
